Arty Sparks: Steampunk Art and Writing Prompts

Bronze clockwork and copper cogs. Top hats affixed with aviator googles. Guns strapped over corsets. Teacups carried in holsters. Airships floating over Victorian London.

What's not to love about steampunk? I even had a steampunk wedding when I married my husband.

You don’t have to be writing steampunk fiction, however, or looking for fashion ideas to find inspiration from it. At its heart, steampunk invites us to blend the past with the future, the old with the new, the industrial with the organic and explore new worlds and possibilities.

Here is some of my favourite steampunk art and some writing prompts to get your creative juices flowing. What can you make of these?
